The Multiple Intelligence Theory

What IS the Multiple Intelligence Theory?

The MI theory is a belief that there are many ways in which humans can be smart. Each of us has a kind of super-intelligent brain power that can help us to do great things in school AND in life!

By studying the MI theory, you can better understand HOW you are intelligent and in what ways you can use that intelligence to help you succeed.

Who started the Multiple Intelligence Theory?

Howard Gardner, a scientist at Harvard University, first introduced the MI Theory over 30 years ago. He believes that we ALL have unique talents and many ways in which we are intelligent.

Some of the most famous and successful people in history have demonstrated GREAT intelligence, but in different and amazing ways.

Take, for example…

  • Albert Einstein, perhaps the greatest scientific mind of the 21st century, didn’t speak a word until he was 3 years old. His parents worried that he would have trouble learning as he got older.  He did just fine for himself, didn’t he? Albert happened to have, what Mr. Gardner would call, a strong “Logical/Mathematical” intelligence.
