you. Not only is Pekin a great place to live, it is
home to some of the finest elementary schools in Illinois.
Living
in a rapidly changing world, we as educators consistently
face new and unpredictable challenges. It is my belief
that we must vigorously seek opportunities to engage
students in the most relevant learning opportunities
possible in order to prepare them for the demands
of the future. To that end, Pekin Public Schools is
committed to preparing responsible, productive life-long

There is
much to do in the coming months as we plan for the
future. It is my goal to work with the faculty and
staff to focus our energy around the common theme
of meeting every student’s needs. Our educators
work extremely hard at the preschool and primary levels
to ensure students master the foundational skills
of reading, writing, and math. Throughout the intermediate
school and junior high school years this foundation
is continuously enhanced. Students are immersed in
a full academic program that promotes broader and
deeper development and application of these and other
important skills. It is our aim to provide students
with well-rounded meaningful learning experiences
in order to fully develop their study habits, critical
thinking and problem solving abilities, and social
skills.
It is with
great pride and enthusiasm that we share a common
purpose and passion for serving the children of the
Pekin community. Quality teaching and learning takes
place every day within District 108 schools. I am
extremely proud to be a part of this fine school district
and serve the children, faculty and staff, and the
Pekin community as the Superintendent of Pekin Public
Schools. Our children deserve no less than our best!
