What is an Internet Browser ?

You must have software called a browser to see any pages on the internet. The Browser allows you to see the text graphics and links on the page. It reads the information and places it on the screen. The browser will find all the certain pages that you want to see. It looks them up on the computer. Two major browsers to use are Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Explorer.



The back button will take you to the previous page you visited.
The forward button will take you forward to a page you have visited
If the page did not fully load hit shift and reload. The page will reload.
The home button will take you to the page set as your homepage.
This is a shortcut to search engines.
If you want to print the page that you have found hit the print button. The page will print
If the page is taking to long to load hit the Stop button. The page will stop loading and you can go back
