| The T.I.L.E. project was funded by a $192,000 grant from the Illinois
State Board of Education in December of 1994.
The four main goals of the T.I.L.E. project were:
- To identify research-based teaching/ learning strategies
that when combined with technology increase achievement.
- To develop a blueprint for effective classroom design
and instructional tools to support the strategies ientified.
- To develop a process to assist to assist classroom
teachers integrate the strategies and tools into content
areas.
To establish a professional development program to provide
staff with necessary skills for implementation.
