

Congratulations to Officer MaddoxIllinois Dare Officer of the Year!
Officer Maddox has been a police officer for 24 years, 11 of these years as a D.A.R.E. officer. He was the D.A.R.E. Officers Association Founding President from 1988-89 and Past President from 1989-90 and served as IDOA Regional Representative from 1990 -1998. Officer Maddox is certified in Core curriculum, Jr. High, V.E.G.A. and Parent Curriculum. He was selected as a Mentor Officer in 1998. He has also been associated with the Boy Scouts for 39 years and serves as Scoutmaster of Troop 198. "The most important thing to remember is that DARE is for the kids. Our goal is to show them how to avoid drugs and violence. By being there for them and helping in any way possible, on and off duty, we can succeed." |
