Mouse Census – Update on the critters. There is no tally count on the number dead. We have to get rid of the food and seal all the containers. Try to have everything off of the floor. Let Brad and Nancy know how things are going.
Where should Gina take her SAI tests? Check with the village as well as Nancy Milam and other specialists.
Could you please get out the supply order earlier (like right after Thanksgiving)? Sounds like a good idea. Keep in mind you have $900.00 and remind the office about it.
After the construction, could we use the rooms temporarily built as a permanent area? No, is the answer. Latch Key is hurting for space as well as rental. Also gym upstairs affects art as well as everything else.
Counseling Program brochure could be used with parents. Bonnie has them.
Specialists (teachers outside of the classroom) not every teacher has TE manuals. Could we possibly get more teachers’ manuals? When are the new books going to be ordered? The next book adoption is language art. After that is math. We can order them but they come out of unused instructional dollars. There was a discussion of how books and materials are collected after personnel change or people move. Most give the books to the "new" teacher
There will be a student laptop checkout. Each intermediate and junior high will have 3 laptops to checkout. It will occur at the beginning of second semester.
Evening of Art is on January 24^th from 6:30 –7:30 PM in the WigWam. POWER PTA will supply the refreshments. Please plan on stopping by and enjoy a wonderful evening of art.

Facility Enhancement: Team

The facility enhancement committee did a great job getting the information in a short period of time from the staff for the Infrastructure Enhancement Plan. Feedback from the District regarding our plans should be received by the end of February. Brad is concerned with the 1961 addition. The list of possible enhancements will be sent out electronically. Some of the items not placed on the list could be solved by work orders. That is why they are not listed.
An ARA customer survey was handed out. Their services were assessed in mid-November. ARA doesn’t meet our expectations for cleanliness, appearance, and thoroughness. Courtesy is the only area where they meet our needs. Keep Brad and Nancy informed about the positive and negatives of the ARA services.
Washington 2000 update: Brad appreciates the staff for all the help with the moving and construction. The asbestos was completed over the holiday break. The elevator shaft has been dug. Later this month, the Washington 2000 team will meet to assess where we are and where we will be going.

FY 2000 Budget and Expenditures: Mary and Brad

An updated budget was passed out. We reviewed where we started and how much has been spent.

A note of thanks to June about handling the rental at WIS. She does a wonderful job.
Any thefts that occurs are replaced with rentals funds.
If you want to purchase anything, try to have the PO done by March 31^st.

Extended Day: Nancy

A copy of an informational report about Family Math, Extended Day, and the SOAR reading program was shared. It will be given to Central Office. It lets Central Office know that our Latchkey enterprise monies are going back to the students as soon as possible. Congratulations on a great decision!!!
Rose and Renea are working hard on getting Extended Day started. There are 12 teachers and the students are in place.
Family Math appears to start in February and March.
The SOAR reading program PO’s have been filled out.

Action Teams 1999: SILT Cabinet

Brad reviewed who was already on action teams. There are spots open. Please let Brad and Nancy know ASAP if you would like to be apart of any teams.

SAI, SIP, Technology and Staff Development 00-01 – next year’s team and open for everyone
Springfest 2000 – We need a few more people on it for this year from the Cherokee and Shawnee (Crow – Jennifer, Illini – Jeff). The last time capsule happened at Springfest. Maybe we could do something at this Springfest.
Retreat 2000 – next year’s team and open for everyone
SILT Assessment 2000 – we need a few more – short-term
Holiday Open House 2000 – next year’s team and open for everyone
PTF 2000-01 – next year’s team and open for everyone

January 14: Team

Mary reviewed the institute at Wilson. Lunch will be provided. The morning primarily is set up with grade level dealing with SAI. There will be 3 stations – writing, reading, and math. The afternoon is set up by choice.
The relevance of SAI to specialists and other teachers was discussed. The district requires the morning sessions. The afternoon is more of choice so people can customize their afternoon to meet their needs.

Alert: Brad

Alert was put back into place by EAP. Sharon Murphy is our Alert contact person. The Alert issues are always given to Brad and he will take them back to SILT who is responsible for the governance of WIS.

Copy machine: Dave/Brad

Brad passed out the copy machine list. The upstairs machine doesn’t have a limit. Please try to conserve and use 1,500 or less. We spend 2 cents per sheet upstairs. Brad doesn’t mind us using paper, but we need to remember we pay for it.
