Saving images from the Internet

First, you have to decide where you are going to put these images. Images can be photos, pictures, drawings, buttons, even some text on web pages is really an image.

There are two places you can easily put these images that you want to save. The easiest place in on a floppy disk. The second place is in a folder that you have added on your C drive. This folder could be labeled downloads, or graphics.

Once you have found an image that you would like to save to use in your own documents follow these easy steps.

  • Using your mouse, place the arrow over the picture you want to save. If you are using a PC, right click on the image, a dialogue box will appear. If you are using a Mac, click on the image and hold the button down a few seconds, a dialogue box will apppear. Choose Save Image As....
  • Another box will appear. The file name and type will already be filled in. At the top of the box is the Save in: space. Here you use the arrow to search for your A drive or find your download folder on your C drive.
  • Once you have found your destination directory ( the A:floppy drive or C: folder), you are ready to save your image.
  • Click save and your image is ready to be inserted in an Office document, or a PowerPoint demonstration.

If you want to try saving the picture of Washington School, follow the steps above.
