The Washington Volunteers met on Friday,
September 4 in the learning center for their annual welcome tea. Mrs. Lange,
Mrs. Darnell, and Mrs. Carrick shared information with them and led them
on a tour of Washington School. Any adult in the community may work as
a Washington Volunteer. You do not have to have a child in the Pekin schools.
Volunteers work mainly in the Learning Center assisting with book checkout
and other duties. Volunteers work only an hour and a half a week! Mrs.
Lange said the only job requirement is to SHOW
UP. If you would like to be a volunteer please
call Washington at 346-7473 and leave a message. We would love to
have your help!
