WASHINGTON INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

A CLOSE LOOK AT MRS. WIEBURG’S CLASS

To culminate our reading unit Operation Wildlife, the classes of Mr. Cooper, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Steiner, Mr. Calhoun, and Mrs. Wieburg took a field trip to Wildlife Prairie Park. We saw many of the animals living in the park, visited a school and a farmhouse of the early 1900’s, toured the museum at the visitor center, bought gifts and candy, and went down the fifty –foot slide. Everyone had a good time.

Our class is studying invertebrates. Each student is researching an insect and will write a report and draw a picture of his/her presentation to the class about invertebrates.

In social studies we are reading about the native indians of North America. Mr. Calhoun had the students construct a totem pole that represented their families.
