1)
Open Image Go to File and Open. Find your image and select open. |

Image, Mode, RGB Go to image, go down to mode, and then down to RGB Color |

Make Background a Layer If the layer reads "background" double click on the Background layer and rename it to Layer 0. If the layers palette is not showing go to Windows , Show Layers. |

4) Insert text

Open the Layers Palette Choose the Window--> Show Layers menu. (the layers pallate may already be open). |

Open the Layer Effects Window on the Text Layer Double click on the text layer. |

Outer Glow Click on the little box to select the Outer Glow. |

9) Apply and Change Your Outer Glow Settings. To apply the outer glow (stroke) to you image, check the apple box. Then change the: a. Mode to Normal b. Opacity to 100% c. Color to White d.Size to 3, and Spread to 100% e. Range to 100% and Jitter to 0 % f. Select ok |
