Willow was treated to a visit by Ronald McDonald himself! These
students and teachers even got to dance with him! Check out

The third grade classes put on a special program for moms
in honor of Mother's Day! Check it out!

the Pekin Library!
June 10 - Storyteller Harlynne Geisler

July 1 - Life in the 1800s
July 8 - Explore with Lewis and Clark
July 15 - Pet Show
All programs are at 2 p.m. in the library's Community Room
In addition to these programs they will have Storytime on Monday at 7
p.m. and
Tuesday at 10 a.m. On Wednesday free make-it and take-it crafts will be
available in the children's room from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration for the summer program begins June 1. For more information

Mrs. LaBatt's Reading Group put on a reader's theater called
"The Elves and the Shoemaker". They did a fine job!
Mrs. Jacobs' Third Grade is studying the solar system.
The class has been researching the planets and got to
create paper mache models of the planets. Out of this
world!
Miss Real, an intern for First Grader teacher, Mrs. Thompson
designed this tooth fairy for their tooth unit. Students wrote
and illustrated letters to the tooth fairy. They also made
marshmallow teeth mouths while discussing the importance of
dental care. How fun!
Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. Bill's reading group put on a readers'
theater for the third grade classes. Each student had a part
and wore a springy headband. Thank you to Mrs. Golan
for creating the costumes!
