| 34R-PARK | ||||
Since 1902 the Pekin Park District has been one of the treasures of our residents and regularly enjoyed by visitors to our community. It is a wonderful blend, of old and new, memories and anticipation. The Pekin Park Districtsystem encompasses over 2,500 acres of ground, developed into 14 parks . The majority of park district owned acreage is nested in four large satellite parks, McNaughton Park , Dirksen Park, Independence Park and Tante Park, which have been intentionally left in their natural state. Additionally, the Pekin Park District operates and administrates neighborhood Parks and many special Facilities not available in most communities of this size. |
