Dear Broadmoor Families,
As a lifelong resident of Pekin, I am excited to be serving as the principal of Broadmoor Junior High School!
This will be my 17th year as an educator and my 4th year with District 108. I completed my undergraduate and graduate work at Illinois State University. I started my career as a teacher and coach at Pekin Community High School. After several years, I moved to the North Pekin school district where I held many roles; Social Studies teacher, P.E. teacher, athletic director, coach and eventually Principal. This is my third year as the Junior High Principal and I love my job! I have a strong passion for working with middle school students and value the relationships that I have been able to build with students, staff, and families during my time at Broadmoor.
Personally, my wife Caryn and I are happy to call Pekin home. Caryn is a teacher in the Morton School District. We have two wonderful kids: Taylor (13) and Luke (11)! I love spending time with my family, enjoy cheering on all Chicago teams, exercising and fishing whenever possible. We enjoy being a part of this wonderful community and I truly do enjoy seeing students and their families outside of the school building at events or just around town.
I look forward to serving the 7th and 8th grade students that enter our doors, partnering with families, and moving the Junior High forward! Please contact me at any time if you have questions about our programs or want to talk about your child's education.
