MISSION STATEMENT

St. Joseph School is a co-educational institution serving grades K-8. St. Joseph School exists to facilitate human development and maturity of Faith. The mission of St. Joseph School is to graduate 21st century citizens who will be value-oriented, competent in communication and problem solving, skillful in creative and critical thinking, and knowledgeable of technology and the interdependence we share in a global and multicultural society. St. Joseph School will provide this through a cooperative effort of community and school that fosters a caring environment, recognizes individuality and uniqueness, is dedicated to human development, provides for meaningful citizen involvement and is committed to excellence and the worth of the individual.

1. To build a sense of values in keeping with the spirit of the Gospels.

2. To develop a healthy self-image by providing experiences and a positive atmosphere through a planned curriculum which entables the student to realize success.

3. To help the child become aware of the meaning of responsible behavior and to apply this knowledge when making decisions. To foster a sense of pride in being responsible to self, fellow classmates, teachers, and parents.

4. To create an environment that develops an enthusiasm for learning.

5. To assist parents with the challenge of educating each child to meet the mental, moral, social and physical responsibilities of today.
