Mrs. James
Physical Education
Class Saint-St. Sebastian

Mrs. James started teaching in 1991. She has been teaching off and on for thirty years. She was a substitute teacher for five years and she was ready for a regular part time job when she began here at St. Joseph's. She teaches the entire student body in the school. Since high school she wanted to be an English teacher, until her senior year English Class. That class helped her decide to teach Physical Education instead. She lives in Tremont, and works at the GAP when she's not working at our school.  Her fondest memory as a child is from sixth grade, when she beat everyone in a race, even the boys. Mrs. James looks forward to the end of the school year because of the warm weather!
She is  planning  on teaching something new during the 3rd Quarter this year to the students called "C motion".  In addition to teaching Mrs. James is a monitor for the Speech Club.

Mrs. Munsell and Mrs. Campbell

Music Instructor and Piano Player
Class Saint-St. Cecelia

She has taught at St. Joseph's for 17 years. This is her 7th year as a Music instructor and children's choir director for grades 4th-8th.  Previously she was a teacher's aide for 1st grade. She has every student in this school in her classes. She chose to teach St. Joseph School because she loves being in an atmosphere where we can talk about and to God. She also loves to sing songs to Him as well as sing and teach songs to the children for special occasions. She picked her class saint because St. Cecelia is the patron saint of  music.  In her free time she spends time with her husband, Gene,  her children, and her grandchildren. She has 6 grandchildren, they are from 3 years old to 11 years old.  She loves to go fishing and to read. Mrs. Munsell is looking forward to vacation at the end of the school year.
She is planning to take 2 field trips with the choir this year. The first field trip is to go to  4-5 different places to sing to the elderly people,  then the group will go somewhere special in the community for lunch. They have also gone to WHOI, on Dec 6th, to record a song or two that will air on Sat, Dec 22nd, from 1pm-3pm, Sun, Dec 23rd, from noon-2pm and Tues., Dec 25th, from 5pm-7pm,  2007.  The choir will be singing at mass, some Sunday 9:00am masses, and the 4:30 Christmas Eve Mass. Mrs. Munsell and Mrs. Campbell prepared the whole school to sing at the Christmas Program on Dec. 20th.  The choir was able to attend "the Nutcracker" performance at the Peoria Civic Center in dec. The entire 3rd grade will join the choir in a field trip to the Peoria Symphony performance. The next big event she is preparing the students for is the "Spring Fling". This program will take place on April 17th!
