Mrs. Dare started teaching at St. Joseph's School in 1993. She
has been teaching 15 years, including this present
year. Mrs. Dare teaches the 7th and 8th Graders Math, Literature
and English. Mrs. Dare
has always known she wanted to be a teacher. Her best memory of school as a
child was learning French
in the 3rd Grade. Mrs. Dare is the monitor for student council
and
yearbook. In her class
year
this year, she has 20 students.
The 8th Grade class will be going to ISU
Milner Library for their career paper second semester and St. Louis for
their class
trip in May. The 8th grade will have many special projects that
they
will work on including a career paper, multiple literature projects,
and coordinating the Math A-Thon. Some of their Literature
projects
consist of presentations using the computer. The class creates
presentations in Hyperstudio and KidPix with data gathered from their
Literature class. This second semester the 8th graders will have a
character party and mock trial in Literature class. The 8th grade class
helps
the 1st Grade and Kindergarten students throughout the school year.
