Advenvent "Baby Jesus" Shower

This Advent season we will once again be involved in offering a baby shower to the "Baby Jesus" from our school. Our gift to the baby Jesus will be our outreach to the babies born who are in need of helpful items and that are born  within this season. We will begin collecting November 26th. Each class is being asked to bring in a certain item and the 7th grade will take items from each room to put in a basket. The baskets will then be taken to the Catholic Social Services to present to families who are in need of assistance.
8th grade is asked to bring books for babies; 7th
grade is asked to bring toys for babies; 6th grade is asked to bring receiving blankets; 5th grade is asked to bring baby wipes; 4th grade is asked to bring baby formula; 3rd grade is asked to bring newborn diapers; 2nd grade is asked to bring baby bottles; 1st grade is asked to bring pacifiers / baby spoons; Kindergarten  is asked to bring booties / socks; Preschool is asked to bring rattles / teething rings. We ask that the items you bring are "new. We want our gift in honor of the baby Jesus to be new and bright! If the items are too expensive 2 or 3 families can go in on the gift. We have 10 baskets to fill, so our goal is to receive 10 items from each classroom. If we receive more than 10 we will also donate them. Please help us welcome the "Baby Jesus" in a special way this advent!!

Pennies For Life
The 6th Grade class is planning the liturgy for the all school Friday Mass being held on January 18th. We are asking each student and staff member to bring a penny for every year of their life. We will then donate the pennies to the Right of Life group to aid in the efforts for an end to abortion.  This will continue with our theme of "Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus".
