Features at Sundance
There is a large common type of sundial with the usual errors, however a correction chart is nearby.

The analemma comprise the bulk of the exhibit. These graceful figures are arranged in an exact position to indicate the time precisely. They show the date, the solstice, the equinox and the constellations.

The Solar Models consist of one system that includes the Sun, the Earth and the planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars, and the planet Uranus as part of another system beginning at Peoria. That system can be explored at Lakeview Museum.

The Sun Gun when pointed at the sun measures its declination and shows on a map where it is noon. It includes a lens to examine the solar spectrum. Once pointed at the sun it can be rotated to find the points of sunrise and sunset.
