FREE PROGRAM
(Must live in the Pekin District 108 boundaries)

  Who We Serve:

• Families with children prenatal to 3 years old

• Families must meet the state’s guidelines as determined through a screening process. 

Some criteria are as follows:
Low-income families
Homeless families
Families in which English is not the primary language
Teen parent(s) and parent(s) who have not completed high school
Children with a potential developmental delay
Foster families
Families living without a support system

What We Do:

• Free personal home visits – bi-weekly

• Build and develop family’s strengths and goals

• Ages and Stages developmental screenings for children

• Friendly parent groups to meet and socialize with other parents

• Connections to resources and other agencies in the area

• Special family events throughout the year

• Play groups to encourage peer social interaction

• Toy and Book Lending Library

• Research based Baby Talk curriculum for children prenatal to 3 years old

• Educational activities

• Spanish speaking Family Educator available

The Preschool Family Education Center is a school dedicated to the education of young children through developmentally appropriate practices, family partnerships and community involvement.

*The Prenatal to Three Program is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education Prevention Initiative Grant.
