Preschool Screening Information

Are you interested in free Preschool?

Do you have concerns about your child’s development and want to know if his/her skills are in line with other children his/her age? 

Do you have a child between the ages of 3-4?
(Must be 3 on or before the screening)      

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the questions above, please call the office to schedule your child’s preschool screening. 

Screening Dates will take place March 19 & 20, April 17 & 18, May 22 & 23. Call our office at 309-477-4730 to schedule an appointment.

   In order to attend PFEC, students must be screened and meet eligibility requirements.

Should the screening staff have concerns about your child’s development, he/she may be referred for additional assessments.

PFEC is funded by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).  Our program serves students ages 3-4.  In order to be eligible for our program, your child MUST participate in screening and have all of the ISBE required documents.

Screeners MUST have the following documents to be considered for enrollment in our preschool program. If required documents are not provided, the child will be placed on a "Waitlist for Consideration" pending completion of file:

• Certified Birth Certificate

• Immunization (shot) Records

• Copy of Medical Card in Parent's/Guardian's Name (if applicable)

• Proof of Income - ALL THAT APPLY!

  • Two most recent pay stubs for all contributing household members.

  • Child Support Documentation (if applicable)

  • Unemployment Benefits (if applicable)

  • Social Security Benefits (if applicable)

  • State Assistance in Parent's/Guardian's Name (If applicable)

    • SNAP

    • TANF

    • WIC

    • CCAP
